Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Orthodox Church

Rt. Rev. Jerry Ogles, D.D.

The Anglican Orthodox Church was organized nearly 50 years ago by the Most Rev’d James Parker Dees. Dr. Dees received episcopal succession when he was consecrated by Bishop Wasyl Sawyna of the Holy Ukranian Autocephalic Orthodox Church of North and South America, assisted by Bishop Orlando Jacques Woodward of the United Episcopal Church (1945).

The Anglican Orthodox Church has maintained the biblical Protestant Anglican faith over and against the differing social, religious, and cultural fads including Romanizing and Liberal trends that have undermined other Anglican denominations.
The doctrinal foundation of the Anglican Orthodox Church is to preserve the basic beliefs and practices of Anglicanism, namely, The Biblical Faith, The Book of Common Prayer, The Thirty-Nine Articles, The Homilies, the doctrines of the Anglican Reformers, and Biblical Morality.

The Anglican Orthodox Church is currently led by Presiding Bishop Jerry Ogles. The Rt. Rev. Jerry Ogles was named Presiding Bishop of the AOC in 2003.
