“Escape the noise and find the calm at Anglican Church of the Incarnation”
Anglican Church of the Incarnation is an Anglican Church in the Diocese of the Advent of the Anglican Orthodox Church.
The Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Advent is the Rt. Rev. Charles Morley
The Rt. Rev. Charles Morley, Bishop Ordinary, is a life long Anglican and has been involved in the Biblical Anglican witness for over thirty years. He has served the cause of traditional Anglicanism for over 25 years as a Priest, Bishop, and rector. Bishop Morley emigrated with his parents from the Republic of Ireland in 1959. Married to Susan for thirty years, he has two grown children and one grandson. He presently resides in Silverhill, Alabama.
Bishop Morley is an alumnus of Fordham University Graduate Institute of Theology where he majored in New Testament biblical studies. He attended General Seminary and the Cathedral Institute of St. John the Divine in New York City. He holds a M.Div. and Th.D. degrees from Geneva Theological College and a Ph.D. from Holy Trinity Institute.
He became a licensed lay reader in the Diocese of New York before being declared a candidate for Holy Orders by Bishop Paul Moore in 1979. Ordained to the priesthood in 1980 in the United Episcopal Church, a Continuing Anglican jurisdiction, he has served congregations in New York, Florida and Alabama.
Bishop Morley was consecrated Bishop on 2 December 1984 at Pt. Clear, Alabama by Bishop Richard Colburn Acker, assisted by +Edward Harris Marshall, and +Orlando Jacques Woodward (with Archbishop Robert Theodore Shepherd of the Anglican Church of North America by letter giving his consent to this consecration). He was consecrated sub conditione in 1989 by Abp. Francisco Pagtakhan of the Philippine Independent Catholic Church and Bp. Larry L. Shaver.
Bishop Morley has sought to preserve the Protestant heritage of the original Protestant Episcopal Church founded in 1789 and heĀ seeks to maintain the same Biblical teaching, practice, and worship of the early Protestant Episcopal Church in America.
He was the founder of the Traditional Protestant Episcopal Church which was attacked and undermined by schismatics led by a disloyal and renegade Bishop, Delbert Murray, who attempted to undermine the TPEC’s ministry and turn the TPEC into a hypercalvinist and Presbyterian style church. To preserve the historic Anglican Protestant ministry of the TPEC, Bishop Morley requested that he and the TPEC be received into the Anglican Orthodox Church as the Diocese of the Advent of the Anglican Orthodox Church. This took place in September 2011 when the TPEC became the Diocese of the Advent of the Anglican Orthodox Church.
His Episcopal ministry is founded upon the Bible-the Word of God, the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion and the traditional Book of Common Prayer. His mission is to preserve and promote the true Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Anglican tradition.
